Detailed Steps
This explanation shows you how to complete the Task Screen while actually spraying a paddock.
When you filled the boom spray tank with a carrier and chemical brew you would have partially completed the Task screen. Once you commence spraying you will then need to enter further information on the Task screen. The following steps will guide you as to what you need to complete.
Step 1, Click on the '(Set Start)' button the moment you commence spraying. This will record the date and time, e.g. 22/01/2015 7:45 am, you commenced spraying this load. If you incorrectly recorded the date and time then click once on the 'Start Time' date and time and a tumbler will appear. Use your finger and scroll the tumbler to the correct date and/or time then click 'Done'.
Once the start time '(Set Start)' has been entered the Task's status will move from Not Started to In Progress on the Review Actual Task screen.
Step 2, Complete the Log Book. At some point you will need to decide when to complete the Log Book. You will need to decide this. Some do it at the start others at the end of the load. You should get into the habit of completing the Log Book before the remainder of the Task screen, so it is not forgotten. For more details read Log Book.
Step 3, On the completion of spraying or just exiting the paddock enter the 'Litres used this Task' by clicking on the grey cell and enter the actual litres of carrier used. This figure is obtained from the boom spray itself.
Step 4, On the completion of spraying or just exiting the paddock enter the 'Ha this Task' by clicking on the grey cell and enter the actual hectares sprayed. This figure is usually obtained from the instruments in the cab monitoring the spray operations.
Note: under the grey cells there is 'Rate this Task' in L/Ha. This is the actual rate you have applied on the paddock. You should compare this to the 'Carrier Rate' to determine how effective your spray application has been.
Step 5, Once the Litres used and Hectares this Task have been completed click the '(Set Finish)' button. If you incorrectly recorded the date and time then click once on the 'End Time' date and time and a tumbler will appear. Use your finger and scroll the tumbler to the correct date and/or time then click 'Done'.
Step 6, As you will have used the Task screen to carry out your earlier designed spray Plan you will now need to advise the App that this Plan is now complete. Tap the White button next to Plan Complete?. On the Plan screen in 'Paddocks' the plan will now be recorded as Completed. A Plan will move through the following status categories Scheduled, In Progress and Completed.
Step 7, Click on the 'Done' Button, top right of screen. This makes a record of all the key information associated with this boom spray load as entered into the Task screen. The app reverts to the Review Actual Tasks screen. The paddock's status will have moved from In Progress to the actual finish date and time under the Date Completed column heading.
Step 8, If, at this point you have finished spraying the paddock and returning the boom spray to the shed with an empty tank, then there is nothing further to do on the app.
On the other hand if the boom spray is empty and you wish to commence spraying another new load (say, with different chemicals) then on the Task screen click the 'Start New Load' button. Read Start a New Boom Spray Load
Or
If the boom spray has residual brew in the tank and you wish to continue spraying in another paddock then click on the 'Continue /Topup This Load' button. Read Continue from one Paddock to Another
